Alison began acting and writing as a teenager, studying at the Montreal School Of Performing Arts during high school, and obtained a DEP in Professional Theatre at Dawson College in 2004. She has since performed with many of Montreal’s finest independent theatre companies, among them Fallen Angel Productions, Tableau d'Hôte Theatre and Rabbit In A Hat Productions. Her latest film work includes a principal role on Blue Mountain State (Lionsgate), Fakers (Cité-Amérique), Lessons of Fear (Incendo); L’auberge du chien noir and Casino 2 (Radio Canada). She appeared with Kids In The Hall in their reunion show, KITH, at Place Des Arts, during the 2007 Just For Laughs Festival. In 2009, Alison was voted #6 Best Actress in the Mirror’s Best of Montreal readers’ poll for the second year in a row (as well as #4 Loudest Activist), and assistant directed Speak Truth To Power: Voices from beyond the dark for Scotch and Cookies Theatre, which premiered at Saint Georges Anglican Church and was subsequently selected by Theatre Panache to be remounted at Hudson Village Theatre for the second edition of Storyfest. She is Artist Rep on the MainLine Theatre Board of Directors, sits on the Quebec Drama Federation workshop series committee and works as a freelance Outreach Coordinator for Imago Theatre and Tableau d'Hôte Theatre. While Alison's activism work remains largely under the radar, with the exception of the Save Parc Avenue campaign in 2006-07, she has lobbied for environmentalism, gender equality and animal rights since childhood; and continues to be vocal about these, and other important causes. Alison is currently writing a one-woman show and working on her Meisner skills, and also aspires to become a director.
